#thankfulfor

Last year Justine invited me to join in on the Grateful Season and for awhile I was able to keep up.  And then life really started happening and made things difficult, including life.

It was a year ago that my health was in a poor place.  It was nearly a year ago that I had my first attempt at surgery.  And it was nearly a year ago that I was hospitalized over Thanksgiving and fighting for my life.  (That may sound dramatic but knowing what I know now, it’s a pretty accurate reflection of what was going on.)

But that’s not the point.  Or maybe it is.

Regardless, I want to try it again.  I want to dedicate the entire month of November to things I’m thankful for because there are so many and some days we get so fogged down with the details, the events, with life, that we forget to take a moment to reflect.  But not this month.

I’m sharing what I’m thankful for and I invite you to join me – on Facebook, on Twitter, on Pinterest, on Instagram, on your blog, through email, or just in your daily life.  Join me. (hashtag: #thankfulfor)

What are you thankful for today?

For me, I’m thankful for life!

    1. Yeah it was a pretty couple weeks of my life, but especially that week that I was there. My white blood cell count was over 30,000 and I guess I was literally hanging on for dear life. My parents flew in and the doctors told them I really scared them…if it weren’t for my scheduled surgery, it could have been MUCH worse…

  1. Like Calee, I didn’t know about your hospitalization either. I’m glad I do now…but am even more grateful that you are OK! :) This is a beautiful idea, and something we all need to remember. It is easy to think about all that is missing in our lives, but sometimes very difficult to recognize the abounding good.
