WIAW / Party Eats

Happy Wednesday!

I saw this on the internet somewhere the other day and thought it was funny.  I’m definitely not shoe crazy (unless we’re talking running shoes), it still gave me a good chuckle and I can think of a few different people who might agree with this statement. ;)

I also want to make sure to share what I’m thankful for today – my lungs.  You see, running isn’t easy with my asthma but ever since I started running and got into a consistent workout regimen a few years ago, my lungs continue to strengthen.  Despite being on a daily medication to control my asthma, I can still feel my lungs strengthening with each run.  And I can’t help but be thankful for that. :)

There were some fun eats this week that I can’t wait to share with you all, so let’s get to it!


Breakfast:

The return of colder weather is prompting the return of a big bowl of oatmeal and since it’s fall and I’m all about pumpkin, I had some delicious pumpkin oatmeal with sliced banana and peanut butter.  Well, and a cup of coffee! (Right, Amy?) ;)

 

Lunch:

We had a big table full of delicious eats at Sunday’s party – banana blueberry bread, apple muffins, monster cookies, fruit, and some additional pastries.  Of course there was more coffee for me, but also lemonade and apple cider.  This ended up turning into lunch; good thing it was tasty!

And as for those apple muffins, you lucky ducks get the recipe on Saturday and boy are they GOOD! ;)

 

Dinner:

I’ve been craving salads this week so a big salad with a fried egg on top was perfect.  Along with another slice of the banana blueberry bread.  YUM!

    That party that you went to on Sunday sounds awesome. Especially that blueberry banana bread. And I can’t wait to hear more about Apple Muffins on saturday :)

    I’ve been craving a roast dinner, chicken or turkey with gravy, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

  10. It takes time, but your lungs will get stronger and stronger. I haven’t used my inhaler in years!!! I have been craving carbs… I think it is the stress!
