Fitness Friday {Giveaway!}

I’m so excited for today.  Not just because it’s Friday. Not just because it’s Fitness Friday.

 

 

Not just because it’s this lovely lady’s birthday (Happy Birthday Mom!).

Not just because I have some fun things planned for my weekend.  Not just because my first week at my new job was freaking amazing. Not just because I’ve spent the week filling my ears with music and it doesn’t get any better than that.

 

So why am I so excited?

 

Because I have a really kick-butt giveaway for you guys today.  I was hoping at this point I would have already shared my race recap with you guys but I’m just going to have to spoil one aspect for you – it was FREAKING INCREDIBLE! And one (big) reason I have to thank for that are EnergyBits.  No joke.

So what are EnergyBits? Taken right from their website:

These little bits are freaking incredible and really pack a punch. (They do recommend taking 20-30 bits which I did before my half marathon but I’ve even taken 5 before some shorter runs and had a positive experience.) They’re a bit on the pricey side but they’re definitely worth it!

 

What did I notice?

  • Increased energy
  • Increased focus
  • Increased endurance

 

You know that part of the long run where you hit a wall? In my first half marathon in April, that point hit around mile 11.  This half marathon? All I would ask you is what wall? It never happened!  In fact, the race flew by and I know a big part had to do with my ability to focus inward, to get in my running mindset and just stay there, to just power through.

I’m really happy that I was able to give my body the time it needed to recover from Sunday’s 1/2 marathon. I was surprised by how amazing my body felt Monday morning – I totally felt like I could go for a run and as I told that to my chiropractor, he looked at me and said “but you’re not”…no, I’m not.  But I loved feeling like my body was able to recover so well.

  1. I ran this week even though I should have tucked in some weights. I need to do better when I am left up to my own devices. We did have a very good run through an office park racking up 4.5 miles. I entered your giveaway and hope, if I win, it will help with my short runs. I am extremely interested.
