I have to admit that I am so excited! This is a short work week for me as the boyfriend and I head to Chicago for a trip to see some of my family and friends, and then celebrate his brother’s marriage. It’s definitely going to be a fun weekend and I’m excited for a few days off from all of my jobs, and just letting emails go unanswered. ha!
Anyway, before I bring on my long weekend, I thought it would be fun to catch up a bit. Let’s get to it, shall we?
I am slowly but surely working my way through a couple books right now. I’ve been re-reading the entire Laura Ingalls Wilder series from my childhood and right now I’m on Little Town on the Prairie. I can’t really even put into words how fun it has been to re-read these books.
Now that BiP is over, it’s just Big Brother. But who doesn’t love a little mindless TV? I don’t watch much TV at all so I think it’s fine. ha!
So. Many. Podcasts.
I also need to work on my next playlist for yoga but I’m really enjoying my current playlist (which I made mid-August) so I’m kind of dragging my feet. I’d like to get to the point that I’m making a new playlist each month so it doesn’t get stale (for myself or my students) but I just loooooove this one!
I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been in a bit of a food rut lately and I finally feel like I’m climbing out of it which is so good! I’ve been really mindful of what I’m craving or what sounds better at various meal times regardless if I think I “should” or not. For example, this evening I’m subbing a yoga class so I packed myself a veggie sandwich for dinner to eat before class and I was originally planning on a smoothie for breakfast but when it came time for it, I really wanted peanut butter and banana toast…so that’s what I had. I had what sounded best even if I’m not one to usually eat that much bread in a single day.
I’m working on some fun and exciting ideas over here. They’re kind of secret, kind of not, and have everything to do with sharing more yoga. Eventually I’ll be able to share the details.
Like I want it to be Thursday morning. ha! I’m just so excited for my weekend away. I know it’s going to be fun and probably exhausting, but full of amazing people and many new memories.
Yoga. Surprised? Neither am I. Obviously this isn’t anything new but I’m teaching 4 classes a week consistently now and I’m subbing a restorative class tonight and it reminds me every single day just how much joy I get out of that practice and teaching.
To be patient. Mostly with myself.
I’m in the process of renewing my CPT with NASM so I’m re-reading and re-learning all of that important personal trainer knowledge. It’s actually been really fun and I’m grateful that a lot of it feels like it’s coming back quickly and easily.
How are you doing? Pick a few things and catch up with me!
