End of September

3 Comments on End of September

It’s a good thing I’m at my best when I am busiest because as September comes to an end, I’m preparing for October to be i.n.s.a.n.e!  But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet and catch up on September first…

I have a hard time believing that this is the first time I’ve shared the Civil Wars but if I have shared it before, I couldn’t find the post.  Lucky for you, I’m sharing today – enjoy!

Now if you remember,  I set some goals for myself at the beginning of September, let’s see where those stand:

-Move into my own place/find a roommate

Done! Well not quite done but we get the keys tomorrow and I’ll start moving my stuff this week when I’m not working.  Hopefully by the weekend, I’ll be all moved in!

-Save money

Despite a little retail therapy, I did pretty well with my finances this month.

-Yoga 3x/week

Yeah, that didn’t happen every week but I’m being more mindful of having a more consistent practice.  That’s all I can ask for!

-Read/finish a book

Nope, still making my way through Wheat Belly.  I’m pretty sure I only picked it up once or twice this month.  Fail.

-Practice meditation 2x/week

I didn’t complete this goal but I did practice a few times and it was amazing.  I need to figure out the best time for me to practice and just make that a part of my routine. I’ll get there.

-Work on getting back into music

I’m working on it. 🙂

-Start relearning to play guitar

Guitar is still in the case…hasn’t happened but once I get set up in my new apartment, I plan to keep it out so that way I look at it every day and feel bad when I don’t pick it up.

-Finish another DIY/craft project

It’s not finished but I am in the middle of refinishing a desk. I’m hoping it turns out as nice as my dressers did!

I’m not setting any definitive goals for October because I know it will be a busy month and I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself.

How was your September?

Did you set any goals and if so, did you complete them?

Ahhhhh! New Civil Wars songs! God I love them! Yay for moving into your new place and getting all set up! And man, I am STILL impressed with your overhaul on that dresser! I need to take you out thrifting so you can help me pick out some pieces and make them all purdy! 😉

My September was fantastic! I hadn’t actually thought about it until I started typing up my “currently” post last night, but between the food, the fun, and the change in my perspective, this month has been very good to me! 😀
