I should admit that it’s almost a relief that it’s Sunday. Not because I am in any kind of rush for my weekend to end (I assure you, I am not!) but more so, I have spent the entire weekend thinking it was Sunday and as such, feeling all sorts of disoriented.
The holiday decorations came down, minus one string of Christmas lights hanging near the ceiling in the living room. I would consider keeping them up but the wiring is green and it’s already been driving me nuts for the last month. HA! The only reason they haven’t come down yet is because I haven’t felt like climbing on the furniture. #shortgirlproblems 😉
While the holidays are coming to a close, that doesn’t mean the entertaining is. You never know when a last minute get together may happen or you have a few friends over to watch a movie. Today I want to make sure you are prepared with a few snacks for those last minute get togethers! I always have these snacks on hand as they’re great for entertaining and for my own snacking throughout the week.
1. Blue Diamond Lightly Salted Almonds
I often find salted nuts to be way too salty and these are just perfect! Another great option would be the Honey Roasted Almonds but if you’re anything like me, they’ll be gone before your friends come over. 😉
I always have apples on hand so slicing up a few is really easy. Grapes or cherries would be great too!
3. Plantain Chips
Another delicious salty snack! If you have a little more time you could always make an almond butter dip using those Honey Roasted almonds!
4. Sliced Veggies
Again, I always have carrots on hand but sliced celery would be great too! If you have some hummus, throw that out too. It’s always a hit and healthy!
While it’s great to indulge from time to time, I’m all for having some delicious snacks on hand for entertaining that are also healthy!
