Fitness Friday #42 & Gearing Up For Pumpkin Week 2015

What. A. Week. 

For me this was quite the roller coaster of emotions so I am happy to see the week coming to a close, the weekend approach (and all the fun to come along with it), and the potential for a whole new week ahead. With that said, while I did get some upsetting news this week, it wasn’t a total wash.

I got some exciting new blog opportunities come up (thank you for supporting the blog and the occasional sponsored content), some nice walks in the gorgeous fall weather crunching leaves, and a massage to help work out the kinks as a surprise gift from the boy. 🙂

Before I get to the workouts from the week, I would like to take a moment to let everyone in on some fun…next week is #PUMPKINWEEK2015! Now, onto the fitness friday fun, shall we?

I’ve been playing around with my training again as I found myself getting really bored and unmotivated in my workouts again. I really want to kick up my running once again so I’ve decided to follow a 10k training plan but I’m being flexible with what’s listed and what my body is feeling that day. For example, earlier this week the workout called for a strength session but I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do with strength and when I got to the gym, planning to somewhat fly by the seat of my pants, I had no desire to actually lift anything. While completely unlike me to not want to lift, I was being drawn to the stair master (also quite unlike myself) but I decided to listen to what my body seemed to be asking for and had a great, sweaty workout! Sure enough two days later, I was ready for that strength workout and had a great workout that day too. Man, our bodies are smart. 😉

If you can’t tell, not only did Pinterest save me this week but I’m LOVING Kettlebells. Honestly, no surprise there.
