FitMixer Bootcamp Week 1 completed! Phew…I did it!
Last night we had our first conference call. It was a great opportunity for the FitMixer team to touch base on several questions or comments they’ve received from the participants regarding our nutrition plan, fitness plan and overall healthy mindset.
I think I’ve mentioned a few times, the hardest part about this plan so far has been the calorie counting. It’s just not something that I do. I eat mindfully and healthy but I don’t sit and count calories (or grams of fat or protein or anything) and I don’t measure. Keeping track and uploading all of my food and beverage intake to MyFitnessPal is quite a challenge for me but one I’m not willing to give up on (at least yet). I’m willing to give it a shot and I can already tell there’s definitely going to be some takeaways from this whole process – calorie counting included.
Funny story (at least to me): last night when Amy got home from work, I was already on the conference call. I was standing in the kitchen with headphones in my ears and pulling together my snacks and lunch for tomorrow. I look up and she’s just laughing at me. Apparently I had quite the concentrated look on my face and she knew exactly what I was doing – counting! Oh well…
And just because it’s an awesome picture and I found it on the Blend Retreat Facebook group last night, I decided to share. Hey what can we say? We’re fit and tough! 😉
