Hip Opening Flow – TriYoga with Katie

Fridays are becoming one of my favorite days of the week! Aside from it being the final day of the work week and welcoming in the weekend, we also get to celebrate Fridays with a new yoga video! With that said, this week’s video is a hip opening flow. We’ll keep this practice nice and slow, staying down on our mats for the majority of this class.

We carry a lot of stress and tension in our hips so you may notice a lot of thoughts or emotions coming up here; that’s totally normal! These poses aren’t easy so while you may find a decent amount of discomfort, I don’t want you to feel pain. If you have pain coming up, especially in your knees, I ask that you back out of the pose until you find a point that isn’t painful, modifying as you need to, or using a prop like a blanket, pillow, or block to support your body. Otherwise, when you’re just noticing points that are tight, I invite you to send your breath to those points in your body and release some of that tension.

Now with all that out of the way, let’s check-in for today’s video…

Oh this is a good one! My husband has trouble with his hips sometimes so I will have to show him this. I can’t wait to give it a try!
