Happy Friday, friends! I’m excited to share that while I’ve been keeping a bit quieter around these parts, it’s because there’s a lot of really exciting things in the works behind the scenes and I hope to share more with you very, very soon! Meanwhile, today it’s time to breakdown another pose commonly seen in our yoga practice: Tadasana, also known as Mountain Pose. In this Tadasana pose breakdown video, we’re going to breakdown all the small ways in which we are staying active in this pose.

When we think of tadasana, I wouldn’t be surprised if many people just think of it as “standing” but there’s a lot more that’s going into Tadasana. This pose is relatively simple but it’s also active. We’re firming the thighs, lifting the kneecaps, shoulders are gently dropping down the back, and widening through the collarbone. Are you thinking of these things when you’re in your mountain pose? Check out my video below and work through the basics of your pose.
