After 2 really tough WODs Wednesday and Thursday last week, I was more than ready for Friday’s rest day. We had an 8-hour drive from West Virginia to Delaware so it wasn’t the most ideal situation for recovery but at the same time, it felt nice to just sit.
Little did I know Saturday’s event was going to be another butt kicker. It’s very rare that I feel like I can’t make it through a workout and this was definitely one that left me constantly looking to Sam to say “you can make it through.” She even made a comment after about how I was doing that and how it’s very unlike me. But thankfully, I DID make it through and it was awesome!
But as hard as it was to make it through Saturday’s event WOD, there was no way I was missing an opportunity to workout at a box so I went lighter for Sunday’s event but it was still another great workout.
Come Wednesday and Thursday, I had access to a small hotel gym so I created two really good WODs using the free weights. I’ll never let someone tell me they can’t get in a good workout because these were definitely still butt kickers!

We’re staying in the hotel to avoid craziness of our usual parking situations (hello Walmart parking lots!) and for some reason it was about the same/cheaper than the RV lots in this area so I’ll have a few more days to create some other fun hotel WODs…stay tuned! 🙂
