While this year I decided to focus more on monthly goals, I still had in the back of my mind that I wanted to read 6-12 books over the course of the year. After struggling to actually make the time to read the last few years, this goal seemed reasonable, while still really giving me a lot to work toward…
Except that I’ve not only just hit my goal, but I have surpassed it! No joke.
In the first 6 months of this year, I hit the 12 book goal, finished 2 more in July, and 1 more so far this month. I’m amazing myself and I’m absolutely loving it!
With that said, I thought it would be fun to share the books I read January to June and then I’ll do the same at the end of the year with the books I read August to December. Sound good?
So let’s break it down…
‘Influencer Marketing for Dummies’ by Kristy Sammis and Cat Lincoln
‘The 4 Hour Work Week’ by Tim Ferris
‘The Untethered Soul’ by Michael A Singer
‘Into the Wild’ by Jon Krakauer
‘The Happiness Project’ by Gretchen Rubin
‘Year of Yes’ by Shonda Rimes
‘The Everything Candida Diet Book’ by Jeffrey McCombs, D.C.
‘Presence’ by Amy Cuddy
‘Seriously…I’m Kidding’ by Ellen
‘The Gifts of Imperfection’ by Brene Brown
‘Life in Motion’ by Misty Copeland
‘#GirlBoss’ by Sophia Amoruso
I have to be honest, I already forgot I read a few of these books, while others, I’m already wondering if it’s okay to re-read yet! Regardless, I walked away from each of these books with information, knowledge and lessons so I would definitely recommend each of them!

The only one of these I’ve read is “The Happiness Project”. I’ve read an embarrassing number of books this year…more than 70, but I’m not sure how much more than 70. haha! I tend to ready mainly fiction, but I do squeeze in a couple non-fiction books a month for educational purposes.
