4 Ways to Switch Up Your Water

We all know it’s important to drink enough water and stay hydrated everyday, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. Come summer time and the increased temps, extra outside activity and general busyness, it seems to get harder and harder to make sure we’re staying on top of the water, but it’s also that much more important.

Here are some of my favorite ways to switch up your water:

Go Sparkling

I used to think that sparkling water couldn’t be tasty and the bubbles in carbonated drinks made me feel sick, but I’ve come to realize that was just the sugar in soda and sparkling water is delicious! I often buy the Trader Joes bottles as I mix this into my morning apple cider vinegar cocktails but it’s just as tasty on it’s own. I especially like pouring it into a wine glass and feeling fancy.

Fruit

Lemon is my go to as I always have it in the house and they’re relatively cheap, but you could also do berries or another citrus fruit!

Mint

Oh man, you’re going to love this! Just take a few fresh mint leaves and add them to a glass of ice water. Your belly will love you and so will your taste buds. Not to mention, this is totally going to cool you down!

Cucumber

It’s like being at the spa except SURPRISE you’re at home!

BONUS

Mix together any combination of the above ideas and you’re bound to have some tasty water!

Love this! I’m a big fan of lemon cucumber water. And I like the idea of putting mint leaves in the water. A friend of mine puts a couple drops of peppermint essential oil in hers and I loved the mint taste in the water, but not necessarily the oil. Like if I left my drink long enough the oil would collect at the top.

I love cucumber water at the moment! They gave it to me when I was getting my hair done at a new salon a couple months ago and now I’m obsessed with making it at home.

Your cucumber comment cracked me up: “Surprise you’re at home,” hee, hee, hee. Great reminder! I need to bust out and get some mint from the farmer’s market this weekend.

We always have mint around the house because my husband loves it so much! I’ll definitely be trying adding a few leaves to my glass of water!
