When it comes to exercise, we don’t always need to have a lot of time, it’s more about being efficient with our time! This is one of the many reasons why I love compound exercises. They allow us to make the most of every moment, working multiple muscle groups at one time. Today, I want to share 5 of my favorites!
Grab your dumbbells and give these effective movements a try!
Bonus: Combined together and you have one awesome circuit workout!
Squat and Press
Deadlift and Upright Row
Bridge with Chest Press
Curtsy Lunge with Lateral Raise
Tricep Push-up with Booty Kickback
Do you have any favorite compound exercises?

I’m also a fan of walking lunges with dumbells–there are so many combinations you can add. For example, between lunges add a squat with an overhead press, or an upright row.
SO true!! Great ideas!

Thanks, girl! 🙂
I love these! I am all about getting the most bang for your buck when it comes to exercises time 😀 I use the squat press all of the time in my classes, great for getting that heart rate up too! I would add a love of pull ups, if you go for natural grip it’s a killer for the lats, biceps, and core 😀

Absolutely!! Squat Press are definitely another favorite! As for those pull-ups, I really need to start working towards getting one unassisted again! It’s a goal!
