5 Things I’m Loving Lately

Comments Off on 5 Things I’m Loving Lately

I think it’s common to come into Mondays with a feeling of dread, I am so excited, not necessarily that it’s Monday, but that I’m just a few days away from a special thing I have planned for myself this upcoming weekend. (I’ll share more later.) With that said, I don’t want to neglect the beautiful weekend that I did have and a few other things that I’m loving lately, so let’s just hop to it, shall we?

1- Desire Map Planner

I hinted the other week when I shared my August goals that I am working on a giveaway and while it isn’t happening just yet, I’m excited to give you a sneak peak at what it will be…

I have been using the Danielle LaPorte Desire Map planner this year and absolutely loving it, so you better believe I’m hopping on board to use one in 2018 AND am lucky enough to be able to gift one to one of my readers soon. With that said, I got mine a little early and just having it in my hands already has me excited.

The 2018 planners are available to order now, so if you don’t want to wait until my giveaway, you can get yours at the below links:

2- Visitors

My aunt and cousin drove over from Wisconsin for a wedding on Saturday and it was so nice to get to spend a little time with them. After my cousin and I got back from the wedding we met up with my aunt again and all went to watch the sunset at the beach near my apartment. It was so beautiful and a great reminder that I need to make time for this more often, even if I’m by myself.

3- Chats with friends & family

There were some great chats with my aunt and cousin this weekend, but I’ve also had some great chats with some friends who have been super supportive as I navigate this crazy thing called life…and my 30s. I am so appreciative and grateful to have people who listen to me, provide advice, comfort, and are willing to lift me up when I feel like I’m failing.

4- ‘IT STARTS WITH FOOD’ by Melissa Hartwig & Dallas Hartwig

My friend Tina and I are planning to do a Whole 30 in September (my first, not hers) and while I’ve eaten paleo and felt like I had a pretty good sense of the program, I feel like I’ve really fallen off the railroad tracks lately and I need something to follow to help me stay on track and then go from there. I plan to talk more about this as we get closer to starting, but for now, I’m diving deep into reading, learning, and planning so I am ready.

The book has been super interesting with a great mix of science and entertainment and I’m looking forward to reading the others before starting.

5- Blogging

This probably sounds funny, but after cutting back my blogging for the last year +, it has felt so nice to be consistent and even to add a second post last week! I’m hoping to work my way back to a 2x/week blogging schedule again, but for now, it just feels good to find my blogging mojo again.
