Life is busy. I know I’m not alone in feeling that way and with the Gerolsteiner Sparkling Detox week, it could easily feel like I’m throwing another thing on an already packed and semi-stressful week. Thankfully, I have a few tools in my back pocket that help make my weeks easier and instead of worrying about the Sparkling Detox, I am excited for it!
1. Plan ahead
This may sound obvious but as a type-A personality, it is in my nature to always plan ahead and when I’m looking at an extra busy week, planning ahead becomes even more important. I think about where to fit in my workouts, what meals I’ll be making for the week, and what appointments I’ll have after work.
2. Food prep
Prepping my meals (or part of them) makes every day easier. It means I can quickly grab or reheat something, and it’s hands down the main reason I am able to continue eating healthy through those super busy weeks.
3. Pack the night before
This is especially helpful for the Sparkling Detox! I make sure I have a few bottles of Gerolsteiner packed in my work bag and my lunches are packed and sitting in the fridge. Doing this means I don’t have to worry about forgetting anything!
4. Get a good night’s sleep
During some of our busiest weeks, it can feel like the first thing to go is rest, but that doesn’t need to be the case. When we plan ahead, that should include time to sleep; it is a must to keeping us in the right place mentally when things pick up!
5. Wake up with plenty of time
People think I’m crazy when I tell them I wake up at 4:30 every morning, and don’t worry, I’m not telling you to wake up that early, but when I wake up late and feel rushed trying to get ready for work, I spend the rest of my day feeling rushed and frazzled. Making sure I wake up with plenty of time for my normal routine, means that I can go into my day clear minded.
I am using these tools through the Sparkling Detox, but they transfer well to any other busy week you may need to prepare for!

Great tips! But 4:30am, wow, good on you! Getting up in plenty of time would help to minimise that feeling of rushing from one thing to another.

Yes Yes yes!! Though I need to make more of my own hummus. It’s SO easy and tasty!
This was definitely my week! The extra prep definitely helped me to survive, and the sleep kept me from getting sick.
Packing the night before helps so so much! I also leave all my meals ready and even smoothie ingredients chopped. Great tips!
Having your smoothie ingredients prepped is a great idea too! All of my fruits are pre-frozen and ready for my smoothies, so that’s definitely set for me too!
Amen! Food prep, sleep and to-do lists are MUSTs! 🙂

Great tips! Sometimes I like to set my clothes out for the next day, and that makes my morning a lot easier. I also like to meal prep, and I go ahead and put everything in their own containers. It makes packing my lunch a breeze, especially when I can get it done in less than 10 seconds!

Food prep and sleep are really essential for busy weeks! It’s so easy to reach for junk when I’m busy and have nothing, so that really saves me!

This is such a great list of tips! I haven’t been able to successfully meal-plan yet. 🙁 Our tastes are too all over the place, plus our refrigerator is the size of a dorm fridge and we don’t have a freezer (#expatlife), so planning too far ahead is kind of difficult anyway. I’d love to be able to, though!

Food prep ahead would be such a helpful tip. I didn’t want to do this for the longest time because I work from home but truth is, that just makes it worse.
