As we all know, there’s a lot happening in the world right now. It’s a very surreal time to be alive, so before I continue on with this post, I want to ask – how are you doing? 

It feels funny to talk about goals when there is so much happening. I don’t feel like there’s anything that I NEED to be doing right now, and I don’t want others to feel like during this time they need to be doing ALL. THE. THINGS. either. We’re all in a state of grieving. We’re grieving the life we knew, we’re grieving (potential) loss of jobs or loved ones, we’re grieving not being able to see friends and family. And while you may be home and you may have more time on your hands, you also need time to grieve so if that means you need time to just BE and FEEL your feelings, do that. If for you that means keeping yourself busy doing things, then that’s okay too. 

Instead of calling them goals this month, I’m changing up my verbiage to “intentions” because it feels more fluid and flexible. Plus, these intentions are coming from a place of intention. It’s coming from a place of service. Service to me and to others. That has a different energy about it to me, so I’m going with it. But before we get to my intentions for April, I want to look back on March’s goals because they did not go as intended overall but there is no judgement as life through us the biggest curveball. 

March 2020 Goals

-Complete a no spend month – Nope. This started out well, but halfway through the month, things took a turn and I spent more money on groceries, supplies, and making sure I could stay home.
-Go get a massage (use gift card) – Nope. I was looking at scheduling my massage for late in the month and then we went on shelter in place.
-Plan out spring GR retreat – Nope. This is on hold for now, but see my April intentions for how I’m hoping to show up and support.
-Find more things to sell/donate (to make more space) – Kind of. I didn’t do as much of this as I would have liked, but I did find a few more things to sell/donate and they’ve been moved to the basement until time is right.
-Grow Instagram to 2,000 followers – YES!
-Build new IAKA website – I’ve made a couple small updates, but I’ve barely touched it.
-Finish creating my new program (!!!!) and decide on a launch date – Nope, but I’m hoping April will be the month to wrap it up, put a bow on it, and launch in May?

-Support 2 local GR businesses this month
-Read 4 books – physical books, to help reduce screen time
