Attitude of Gratitude – March 2019

I’ll be honest, this month has kind of kicked my butt. There have been some great, exciting, and fun things, but there’s also been some stress, overwhelm, and major hormone changes. I took myself off birth control recently and the adjustment has definitely been challenging at times. With that said, I know that it’ll get better and easier with each day and definitely worth it in the long run so I’m keeping that in mind through this adjustment period.

Anyway, at this point you likely know my strong opinion on an attitude of gratitude and at this point of the month, we take a few moments to focus on all of the beautiful things we have to be thankful for. Especially when life gets to be a bit much, I believe gratitude becomes an even more powerful tool so let’s jump right to it…

The other day, I was listening to an audiobook or podcast or something and heard someone talk about how you have to believe in your dreams without abandon if you want to make them a reality…I'm not saying that's wrong necessarily, but it got me thinking…I believe that it’s not just about believing in your dreams, it’s about believing in YOURSELF without abandon. 💛 It's about believing that those big beautiful dreams you have your eyes set on, are something that YOU can make happen. I've spent far too many years dreaming big but not believing in myself. I truly believe that that's the reason why some of those things never fully came to fruition in the way I hoped. It's time to flip the script and start believing in myself, my abilities, and make these dreams my reality! Won't you join me? 💛 I know that I believe in YOU!

Friends coming to visit
In fact, one of my good friends from home is here visiting NOW! We were friends in high school and I’m so glad our lives crossed paths again a few years ago because she’s become one of my biggest cheerleaders.

HOPE
As I mentioned, it’s been a tough month, but there’s been some hope, especially this last week or so. I’ll take what I can get and I’m so grateful to feel it.

Friends (near and far) who have been encouraging
I’ve had friends reach out, hear me out, encourage me, support me, and let me have my moments. I’m so grateful for each of them. The ones near and the ones far. You know who you are. Thank you.

The full moon in all it’s glory
Holy moly, friends! I hope you all witnessed the full moon last week. I walked out of teaching yoga Thursday night to this big, beautiful moon shining upon me. It felt POWERFUL, hopeful and I loved staring at it as I drove myself home. It was like a little gift in my life.

My breath
Because whether we’re on our yoga mats or in life, our breath is our guiding life force. I am grateful that even when things get tough, my breath is still strong, still powerful, and still here.

Thank you, more please.

I’m sorry that you had a rough month. Mine wore me down to my bones and I’m looking to leave it behind. You have such a wonderful attitude. Being able to find things to be thankful for in the midst of chaos is a beautiful thing and I’m glad that you could dig in and see them. Hang on to them. They are always there. They’ll pull you through. I’m hoping that your days get lighter and brighter for you xo
