Balancing Running & CrossFit

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I’m sooooo happy it’s Friday! It’s been such a roller coaster week – filled with some of the highest of highs, some frustrating bumps and everything else in between, but really, I feel like this week I can’t complain. So I’m not. Instead, I’m just celebrating that it’s Friday and that we’re only a few hours away from the weekend.

Anyway, I’ve had some pretty killer workouts this week! CrossFit has been happening consistently and I must admit, there’s a part of me that wishes I could go everyday AND still train for my marathon, but since that’s not going to happen (at least right now), I’ve been doing my best to balance the two and it’s really been amazing!

What’s in store for your weekend?

How were your workouts this week?

Looks like you’re doing a great job balancing! I’m trying to incorporate some more running in my training again. While I love cross fit I’m noticing some weight gain and just miss running. I think it’s good to have a nice balance 🙂

Thanks! It’s definitely not always easy! Sometimes I reeeeeallllyyy want to go WOD (part for the workout, part for the social aspect) but I know that what I really need to do is get in my training run…there’s definitely a balance.

RIGHT?! TGIF! So thankful that I only have a 4 day work week this week. I’m putting up an away message to that I will NOT be checking email until Monday morning…(aka so clients leave me ALONE)! lol 😉

That looks like a pretty good week of work to me 🙂 I love how you are able to balance running and cross fit….my training takes up so much energy for my running that the only other thing I can handle is yoga (and my conditioning exercises). I hope someday when I am not running as seriously, I can enjoy other forms of exercise! Hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂

Yoga is SUCH a good thing to balance out the running though, I really need to do more of it! (Which at this point means doing it even ONCE a week…lol)
