Let me start out by saying this is strictly sarcastic. Yes, I’m basically making fun of myself and my fellow blogger friends with this series. But if we can’t laugh at ourselves, then where’s the fun in all of this?
Anyway, have you ever tried to explain your blogger friends to your “real life” friends? Have you ever tried to explain that you’re going to a “blogger” retreat or conference? Do you get the confused faces like I do?

The thing is, these “blogger friends” ARE my real life friends. The ones I’ve met in person multiple times and the ones that I haven’t. We may have met over the internet but we’ve connected through our blogging, we know about each other’s lives and we care about the well-being of our families. We’re friends, we just live in different parts of the world.
It might not make sense to everybody around us, but there’s no denying these friendships are true.

This cracks me up!! Yes! Others sometimes just don’t get the blog. They think it is a simple, silly thing where you just write stuff and post it. They don’t understand the dedication, the work, the vulnerability that blogging entails. I think it is sad that others dismiss bloggers. They are missing out on great connections!

haha I’ve gotten a lot better at explaining blogger get togethers and most people know I have a blog now…but even so it’s funny seeing the expressions when I say I got on a plane to hang out with fellow bloggers.

Love you BBF (Best Blend Foreva!) <3

So true! I have been blogging since 2009 and have met and “met” so many amazing people I couldn’t imagine my life without. They are definitely my real friends 🙂

Haha this is perfect! I completely agree about trying to explain about blogger friends…I agree about blogger friends ARE the real life friends, because some of my friends I met blogging have turned out to be some of my favorite friendships!

You aren’t the only one, I get weird looks too..

Not only that, but even when I tell people that I have a blog.. they look at me like they have NO idea what a blog is. 😉
