It’s been a couple months since I’ve done one of these and I always find them so fun as a way to check-in!
READING:
I just finished ‘Seriously…I’m kidding’ by Ellen which technically was an audio book…but it still counts for this, right?
WATCHING:
Thanks to Netflix I’ve fallen into the world of old shows I used to love (aka ‘One Tree Hill’) or shows I’ve wanted to get into (aka ‘Parenthood’). Other than that
WRITING:
Just more of the usual…posts for TLSM, prompts for Daily Aspire, and random writing for work. I’m hoping to be adding in more freelance stuff in the coming weeks, fingers crossed.
DRINKING:
I’m on a major sparkling water kick right now! We can probably thank my apple cider vinegar cocktail for it, but I think I’ve finally caught the La Croix bug.
EATING:
ALL the smoothies, ALL the time! It doesn’t help that it’s been super hot this week and cooking hot food makes the apartment even hotter. Between the Perfect Fit Protein and 22 Days Nutrition Protein, it’s very possible the 2x daily smoothies may happen soon.
WEARING:
Tank tops and yoga pants, even some short shorts to get through the heat. Seriously, mid to upper 80s this week. What happened to spring?
SWEATING:
I’ve been following the Tone It Up Bikini Series and honestly, I’m still loving it! The workouts are varied and the whole mix and match shorter workouts to get one longer workout, is really working for me. Plus, I’m getting to run more again and you know that makes me happy!
DOING:
Check out my garden! Things are starting to sprout and it’s really exciting. I’ve never considered myself much of a gardener but I’m hoping this is the start of a very full apartment sized garden this summer!
Also, Snapchat. I’m not great at it yet, but I’ll get there in time. And for those of you who left your usernames in the comments section, I’m working on following you back asap so you can teach me the ways! 😉
NEEDING:
Another fan…Seriously. I really need to head to the store for a giant, powerful oscillating fan to get me through the summer if it’s going to get that hot in here. Anyone have recommendations on a good one?
Pick one and answer!

I love One Tree Hill and I love Snapchat!! I’ve been on Snapchat for a year!

One Tree Hill is soooo good!
I’m a little jealous of your warm weather! I’m currently sitting here wrapped in a blanket as all of a sudden it’s COLD in Sydney!

The part of me that slept on the floor in the living room last night to be near the AC is a bit jealous of your cooler weather. haha
Yay for sprouts! I love gardening, it’s always so exciting when new plants start popping up!

I’ve always considered myself as having a black thumb so this is SUPER exciting!
We’ve also been getting into the habit of drinking homemade smoothies on these beastly hot afternoons. It helps a lot to have that to look forward to and cool you down!
Right? I totally ate more ice cream than I should admit yesterday and I don’t think it was because I wanted ice cream but because it was cooling me down. ha!
I’ve been watching Parenthood too!
I know I’ve seen a few episodes here and there but this is the first time I’ve really watched it!
I can relate to the small apartment and wanting to cook as little as possible so as to not increase the temperature. We’ve yet to turn on the A/C but it’s coming soon and quick. I also notice that it’s time when the dogs start panting a heck of a lot more, too.
Love the Currently posts.. 🙂 Have a great day, Katie!

I turned mine on last night…I couldn’t sleep so I moved to the living room to sleep on the floor by it. It took all night for the little thing to reach my room to even kind of cool it down. I need a better plan for summer… :-/
I love re-watching the shows I loved in high school on Netflix! One Tree Hill is a classic, and I’m so excited for the new Gilmore Girls reboot 🙂

I’m super excited about Gilmore Girls! But I want more than 4 episodes!
Tell your little sprouts to come and give encouragement to my little plant. It got yesterday and the basil was like NOPE I”M GOING TO WILT. Um, aren’t you a mediterranean plant?

nooooo!! My basil plant seems to be doing alright so far and my little tomato plant is going to need a cage soon, I think!! The lettuce is sprouting but no sign of cilantro or peppers (yet)…
We are actually on our way to Lowe’s to get a portable AC unit. It was too hot in our new place yesterday. Fingers crossed for more freelance writing!

Thanks! Fingers super crossed!
It’s going to be warm the rest of this week in PA too 😀 yay! I love the fans you can put in the window and it pulls out the hot air. So great in the humid summers.

Oh man, growing up we had these AMAZING window fans, that’s probably what I need. I ended up on the floor in the living room by the AC last night because I couldn’t sleep with the heat and humidity. haha!
Oh I can’t wait to get out in my garden. I have slowly been getting the garden beds ready, and hopefully will get to the greenhouse tonight to buy some seedlings and seeds. And smoothies are a thing all the time here as well – I started freezing them in silicone Popsicle molds for my kiddos.

What a good idea! I definitely need to get some popsicle molds…for myself. 😉
Currently Im SO SO SO THERE WITH YOU ON THE ACV COCKTAIL.
and I really really never though I would be.
Cheers ((((clink))))

Cheers!!
Funny how the weather is so different everywhere! It was hot here until last Sunday and ever since it’s been cold and raining all the time. We are said to get better weather starting this afternoon – I really hope so!
Do you have AC in your apartment? We don’t have it here in Germany, it is not a common thing in homes or at the office. Newer buildings and malls do have it though. During summer I wished we had one in our home, but fans are great as well! You can never have too many of them during summer!
Loving your little sprouts! Awesome!

I do have a built in AC unit though I haven’t turned it on yet so I’m not sure how good it is.
