It’s not very often I remember to take a picture of all my meals in one day, let alone everything I ate in one day. And honestly, I didn’t remember yesterday but I did remember to go back and take pictures that at least show everything I ate.
Breakfast:
We were out of my usual english muffin breakfast, so I was forced to step outside of my usual. This was a great reminder of how much I love oatmeal – it had been way too long!
Morning Snack:
I was heading out to the gym so I had a quick snack of peanut butter and dates. I love this snack combo!
Lunch:
I came back from the gym famished and was piecing my lunch together as I was grabbing things from the fridge. Celery with hummus, leftover fruit salad, a side salad with salsa, and two small pieces of banana blueberry bread with peanut butter.
Afternoon Snack:
After a couple hours of unpacking boxes for my parent’s garage sale, I needed a little pick-me-up so I went for a sliced apple and a handful of almonds.
Dinner:
Earlier this week my dad and uncle were talking and as part of the conversation my dad said “the only thing Katie eats a lot of is salad”…haha! Yeah, that’s a pretty true statement. And I’m okay with it!
My mom and uncle went strawberry picking earlier this week so of course I had some with dinner. That was the whole bowl of sliced berries…and no, I did not eat the whole bowl. 😉
Evening Snack:
Several years ago I saw a nutritionist as a way to take a look at what I was eating and how it was contributing to some major digestive issues. That was really one of the turning points in following an overall healthy lifestyle. Anyway, one of her recommendations to staving off my evening sweet tooth was to have a cup of hot tea with a splash of milk. Well I’m trying to bring that back, besides I love a good cup of tea.

mmm almonds + apple sounds great! Might have that today! Have you ever noticed how apples sometimes make you hungrier? I always have to have them with peanut butter or with a meal!

How fun to go strawberry picking! We go blackberry picking every summer and then i make homemade jam. So good!
Blueberry bread sounds good! Did you bake it? I wish I could get on board with tea, and believe me, I’ve tried and tried, I just can’t. My go-to beverage is water with a dash of lemon or lime juice. 🙂
