I’ve spent the last few days constantly reminding myself that I’m off today and not Wednesday, which is often my day off. It’s not usually this hard when my schedule changes but this week I keep forgetting and have to remind myself why. But there’s a very good reason for this – we’re celebrating a birthday! Deepika’s birthday to be exact. Happy Birthday Deepika!
We’re starting our day as we’ve spent every birthday this year: S&W Diner and then making our way to a fun adventure. Today that adventure is hiking!
But I’ll have to give you a recap after because for now we have other things to talk about. What I really want to talk to you about is a few of my favorite healthy living apps – I’ll get to fitness apps on another day.
Here’s what makes up my “Health” folder: Sleep Cycle, 2 Horoscope Apps, MyFitnessPal, iMensies, and Your Daily Motivation. It’s not just about physical health but also our emotional health.
Your Daily Motivation is great for a daily motivation quote. And for those days when you need more than one, just tap for another…or another…or another.
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” – Robert F. Kennedy
Sleep Cycle helps track your sleep each night and wakes you up each morning within 30 minutes prior to your desired alarm time so you wake up at the best possible point in your sleep cycle. Seeing as I’ve been sleeping terribly lately, maybe I should start using this again. 😉
iMensies is one of those ladies only apps but it learns the information you input and estimates the next month based around it. I often only “buy” free apps and the $1.99 of this app was worth every penny.
And lastly I’ve mentioned MyFitnessPal several times as we used it to track progress with the FitMixer Bootcamp, but it’s honestly amazing. You can add and track your food and exercise for the day, input your weight check-ins, and support your friends in their process to healthy living.
I use each of these apps, love each of these apps and can’t recommend them enough.
What are your favorite health apps?

Hi Katie,
This stuff about health apps was really useful because I’m doing a sort of research on apps for fitness, for a friend. thank you!
Do visit!
That sleep cycle app sounds cool!! I need to check it out! I just got a smart phone (loser.. I know) so I’m new to apps!
I’m a huge fan of MyFitnessPal, though I don’t use it all that often. That sleep app looks really interesting though! I want to try it!
I LOVE MyFitnessPal! It definitely keeps me on track and out of the cookie jar 🙂
