February 2020 Goals

Comments Off on February 2020 Goals

One of the goals that I made for 2020 was to get back into blogging and writing more. I’ve been semi-successful doing so, but the last few weeks I’ve definitely been feeling the intensity of life and the overwhelm has kept me from having the creative energy to write.

I used to blog my monthly goals and I’ve debated if it’s something that’s “of value” to other people and this day in the blogging world, you’re often made to feel like if it’s not “of value” for your audience, then it’s not worth taking the time to write and share. Well, I’m calling bullshit.

Sometimes we write and share things for OURSELVES and if someone else gains something out of it, then that’s great, but if it exists only for me, that doesn’t make it any less important. I’m an obliger in the world of Gretchen Rubin’s Four-Tendencies and I think taking this time every month to write out my goals and share them with others is one way that I’m able to help hold myself accountable. It helps drill these thoughts and goals into my being. If this is something that ends up resonating with you, I’m so grateful you’re here and if it doesn’t, that’s okay too.

I didn’t really set and therefore didn’t share goals for January (just my 2020 goals), so let’s jump right into my goals for February and what I’m hoping to achieve. Better late than never, right?

February Goals

-Finish reading 4 books (1 down, 3 to go)
-Dry February – I’ve already broken this one as I went to a happy hour with my team at work on Friday. I’m a bit frustrated with myself about this, but I’m also giving myself grace because it’s OK and at that moment, it was my CHOICE. I don’t actually drink very often so many people don’t understand why I make this a goal, but it is something that I would like to do for the rest of the month.
-Plan rules for a no-spend month (to do in March)
-Restorative yoga teacher training with Kelly
-Writer 2 pieces of snail mail
-Order dress for a friend’s wedding
-Attend 8 studio yoga classes (as a student 3 down, 5 to go)
-Find more things to sell/donate (to make more space)
-Get together with friends in GR
-Grow Instagram to 2,000 followers

Do you set monthly goals? What are some things you’re hoping to achieve this month? And do you know your Tendency?
