It’s been such a crazy week and my mind is spinning out of control! I hope to have some news to share in the next week or so, but with so many details up in the air, I’m not quite ready yet…but getting there. It’s coming…just so you know. 😉
Is that cryptic enough for you?
Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I made it to yoga two weeks in a row! Yes, it has only been once a week, but this is a big deal and has already surpassed my time on the mat for the last year!
I’ve only been going to the classes at my gym and while they’re not quite my preferred style, it’s just been nice to be back at it and I know it’s probably good that I’m easing myself back into it. I’d really like to go to a hot yoga class (or “gross yoga” in the boy’s terms) but I’m living on a pretty tight budget for awhile and it’s either going to be gym or at home yoga for this girl for awhile…
As for the rest of my workouts this week, they’ve been pretty good. I’ve been running more and more consistently and while it’s still felt really hard, I do feel like I’m making progress and it just feels really good to be back in the habit of it. And while I was hoping for 4 miles on Sunday, the boy and I went running together in Grand Rapids and man, I did not realize just how hilly that area is! We cut it short because his knee started bothering him and my lungs were HAPPY to oblige. At one point we turned a corner and I was sure it was STRAIGHT UP! I turned to him and said, “are you making me run that?” He didn’t realize just how rough that hill was going to be; and you better believe we ran that whole thing but when we got to the top, there was a quick break to catch our breath.

Ugh I feel your pain on the yoga thing.. I’m not crazy about the classes at my gym either, but I’m on a budget too 🙁 I guess something is better than nothing!

That’s so awesome that you’re working out reguarly! I wish I could say the same, but I’ve never been able to motivate myself to exercise 🙁 Does walking my dog everyday count as exercise? haha
Yay for getting to yoga! Keep it up. 🙂
Congrats on exercising more frequently. I, of all people, know how difficult that is.
Happy Friday! Your message is very cryptic haha
I’ll share soon, promise! 😉
It ‘s deceptively hilly here! You don’t think of Michigan as a place with a lot of hills, but they’re totally there!! My hot yoga studio does some pretty great new student deals, so there’s that.
Noted… 😉
Hmmm I’ve never linked up before, but I did post a new workout on my blog today! Maybe I should try linking up?
Yes! I am so glad you did!
My training has been . . .nonexistent. BUT. my husband is leaving for 4 months on Wednesday and I’ve got 20 lbs to lose while he’s gone. I’ll be coming back to your site for encouragement FOR. SURE.
I’m totally here for you girl!
I’m ice skating today which will be my workout, but usually I hit the gym on my days off! Your week looks super productive!
Ice skating sounds super fun!
This week has been amazing! I’ve ran 3 times, and taken two classes (1 yoga, 1 barre). Last week I came to the realization that the little treats around the office are catching up to me. So I’m trying to say “no” a little bit too the food I wouldn’t buy for myself, and “yes” to making sure my workouts are at the level of intensity that is going to help me reach my goals.
Awesome, girl! Those treats at the office can definitely be hard to turn down, but sounds like you had some great workouts!
