Can you believe it’s already March? Where did February go?
It’s been one heck of a week leading up to today, so I should admit I’m welcoming March with open arms and as a chance to reset myself – physically and emotionally.
So why was it so challenging?
My workouts this week challenged me mentally and with a tired physical state, it was just not good. I also had several long shifts at work this week (including an open-close shift), plus the addition of the snow and shoveling and whew, I’ve just felt spent all week.
The good thing is that I understand the power of a good workout. I understand the importance of sleep. And I understand what things I can put to the wayside to take care of the things that need my attention right now.
Besides, don’t we need the less-than-stellar, super-challenging, just-want-to-hide-in-my-pillow kind of weeks so that we really appreciate those amazing ones?
And let’s not forget, I still got it all it, got it all done, plus a little extra work shoveling. I assure you, that’s a flippin’ workout – don’t question!

How was your week?

Somethin about last week huh? I think we must all be ready for spring huh??
I also totally agree that we kind of need the bad days to appreciate the good ones! Thanks for the reminder friend! <3
YES! Bring on spring!
I felt the same way this past week, so I took several days off. My body needed it!
Good for you!! Listening to our bodies is so important.
Ugh, it’s so hard to workout when you’re tired! I feel you. Happy March & good luck!
that was me this past week. It’s hard to admit we need extra rest some days, mentally we struggle with pushing or resting. But you know what is best in your heart. Cheers to the weekend
Good reminder to live through the bad and to really enjoy the GOOD! Here is to a great March!
Look at you, powering through! I had a great run yesterday–partially because I was avoiding a gym creeper–but another this week that was just exhausting, mentally and physically. I am super proud of myself for FINALLY going to a yoga class, and I know it was so good for me. I am going to try and commit to going once a week from now on.
LOVE yoga! But I too often struggle to maintain my practice. i’m working on it.
I love that you included shoveling snow. 🙂
I am going to opt out of participating in this for a while. I think when I participate in something like this I end up doing workouts that I don’t love just to show that I’m awesome. Right now I need to focus on what makes me feel good and getting my body back in working order.
Shoveling = one hell of a workout! Two Tuesdays in a row of crazy shoveling and you KNOW I’m sore. haha
So sorry you had a rough week 🙁 Thank goodness it’s Friday! Yay! Your week of workouts look great!
Hope you have good weekend Katie!
Love that thought that sometimes we need to learn and live through the bad to really appreciate the good! Glad to join your link up today 🙂
Also a semi hard week! Here’s to a better week/month coming up 🙂
I had a rough workout week. It started with straining something in my right arm on Monday. It’s only just now beginning to feel better today. Finally. And my legs feel like lead today. I guess it’s time for a break. Time to recover! Yoga tomorrow and rest day on Sunday. Nice. 🙂 Happy Friday!
