Fitness Friday & GPP Love

I hope you’ve been enjoying the recaps from my weekend in Utah at the Blend Retreat.  In case you missed them, you can check out what we did, what we ate, why I went, and the amazing people and companies behind the retreat.  If you’re sick of hearing me talk about it, well I don’t really have anything else to share except a few of the workouts we did this weekend.

And due to popular demand, I brought back the Fitness Friday link-up a couple weeks ago and while I took last weekend off, I’m excited it’s back again today – I hope you are too!  Please join in – all I ask is that you grab a button, link back to me, and make sure to check out a couple other people’s posts.  You can share your workouts from the week, a workout, or another fitness related post – this is about creating a community and keeping each other inspired and motivated.

Can you tell I’m now obsessed with the GPP workouts? I loved our bootcamp workouts so much and wanted to give their workouts even more of a try.  So far, I’ve really enjoyed them and was sharing them with my coworkers!  My muscles have been sore in the best way possible and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store!

I have looked at the GPP workouts and really think I would like them, but to be honest, I don’t know what a lot of the moves are, and even though I see them on the computer, once I get to the gym, I forget. I’ll have to try and do them at home.

However, GPP did inspire me to shake up my routine. Since I had been in a majorly strange place with running, I was inspired to try out classes (including bootcamp and mixed-fitness classes similar to boot camps) at my gym I have never done before, and I am loving this new approach to fitness and being more well-rounded in that!

Dang girl!! I am IMPRESSED! Heck, I was sore all the way up until Wednesday and couldn’t even THINK of working out! Haha! I am definitely going to try some of their workouts this week though…I’m a total goober and didn’t even realize they had them available online until I read Michelle’s post! Haha!

Isn’t it awesome?! I was sharing their workouts with my boss and coworkers. I think they may start doing cartwheels from time to time. 😉

GPP workouts look very intense! My workouts this week were good, I was sick earlier in the week but have made sure to make up for it with my workouts later in the week. This morning I did a super 2.5hour gym session and felt tired at the time but felt really good after.

They are pretty intense, some obviously more than others, but they’re very “do what you can and don’t overdo it” which I LOVE.

Do it! I was so intimidated by the cartwheels but knew I’d feel better TRYING it than not. plus i found comfort that everyone else looked silly doing them too! 😉

It’s just proof that while we eat a variety of foods, we also need to do a variety of exercises to keep our muscles guessing.
