I’ve professed my love for John Butler Trio before. I’ve professed my undying affection for “Ocean” and the powerful reaction I have in my heart to that song. I swear it just makes my heart feel like it’s going to explode with happiness. I can’t quite explain it but I’m going to make you all listen to it again because honestly, this is the kind of song you should listen to everyday.
I swear that song nearly brings me to tears every time I hear it. It’s another one of those that if a guy ever played that for me, I’d probably get on my knee and propose. 😉
Needless to say, when I found out I missed his show in Chicago, I was pretty upset. The only thing that made me feel better was upon realizing there’s a new album, Flesh & Blood. I immediately opened Spotify, listened to “Ocean” and then made my way through the album.
I’m a happy girl.
Someone please make sure I don’t forget to get tickets next time JBT comes through Chi-town.
