If you saw on my Instagram the other week, I recently ordered my new planner for 2017. While I loved the planner I used this year, I decided to try something next year and ordered The Desire Map Planner from Danielle LaPorte. You guys, I am so excited!
The Desire Map planning system “incorporates your soul and your to-do list; your gratitude and your goals; your deepest desires with your day-to-day.” You guys, it looks so cool! Honestly, it’s a good thing I have been so busy with work because otherwise, I’d be flipping through it and absolutely dying for the new year to come even quicker.
I have a lot of things on the horizon and happening in the background over here and I’m feeling pretty confident and hopeful that 2017 is going to be a very good year for me. After a couple harder years, and admittedly 2016 being one of the toughest of my life, this is a good feeling.
Anyway, if you’re still on the hunt for a few gifts, I wanted to share a few ideas for those creative and potentially entrepreneurial friends or family in your life. Speaking for myself, I’d be happy opening any of these gifts this year!

The Desire Map – Journals, Book, Planner…any of it.
Seriously. (Side note: If you don’t subscribe to Danielle’s Daily Truthbombs, do it! It’s the perfect bit of joy to start your day.)
The Universe Has Your Back by Gabby Bernstein
Yes, I’m bringing it up again..I’m pretty sure I’ve told every friend I’ve talked to in the last couple weeks that they *must* read this book. So read it.
Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert
I read this last year and I think I’m due to read it again. So many beautiful little nuggets.
Moleskin Notebook
These are perfect for jotting down ideas, journaling, to-do lists, brainstorming sessions, etc. Sure any notebook works, but there’s just something about these ones. 🙂
Coffee & Moleskin
Whether you’re buying them a bag of their favorite coffee with a new mug or giving a gift card to their favorite coffee shop to work, I really think you just can’t go wrong.
Moleskin
I’m not hearing quite as much about adult coloring books this season as last year, but I still think they’re a great option for being a little creative while also allowing yourself to rest and relax.

What would you get the creative on your list?
Or if you are the creative, what would you want to receive?

I love this entire list! I’ve been meaning to read Big Magic but just haven’t yet. I bought it a while ago and it’s still sitting on my iPad waiting to be read haha

As a creative myself, I approve of these gifts…great round-up! I don’t care how fancy iPhones have become….there’s nothing like an old-fashioned notebook and pen!

The desire map is on my Christmas list and I absolutely love Moleskine anything! What a great list.
Great post Katie! I love Moleskin notebooks to journal in and take notes in when I read my Bible. Also, I love love love that coloring books are in right now. They are so great for relaxing and getting out some creative energy.

I still love the fact that coloring books became somewhat normal for adults to use!
Oh, my goodness… GREAT gift ideas here–I would LOVE anything on this list, too! I heard of the “Universe has your Back” book yet, but I just placed a request at the library for it–totally sounds up my alley. And that planner looks excellent!
Seriously, 2016 can suck it. Bring on a new year already. Hope all is well with you, Katie! XOXO
