Go Gnarly! {A Review}

I had been hearing about Gnarly Nutrition for awhile so when I found out they were going to be a sponsor at the Blend Retreat this year, I was really excited for the chance to try it out! As I mentioned the other week, I don’t include dairy in my diet and choose dairy-free protein powders for my post-workout recovery.

From time to time I’ve tried a whey based protein powder that hasn’t bothered me but from what I had seen, it’s the cleanest sources that make me feel the best (no surprise, right?).

I tried a packet of Gnarly protein powder at Blend and immediately fell in love with the taste so when it didn’t appear to bother my stomach, I was even more excited! The fine folks at Gnarly Nutrition offered to send me a full sized container of their protein powder and I was not going to turn down this offer!

For a week straight I refueled post workout with my chocolate Gnarly shake. On my rest days, I had a shake just before bedtime. I honestly quickly came to love this routine and referred to it as  my daily chocolate milk because that was exactly what it tasted like to me!

Gnarly is full of pre and probiotics, comes from grass-fed cows in New Zealand, GMO free, full of BCAAs and low glycemic.

It’s important to me to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle and I’m very conscious of what I put in my body. Knowing that Gnarly comes from a clean source, I’m happy to add it to my (very short) list of favorite protein powders!
