Happy Biiirthday Toooooo…

There’s something really refreshing about today.

Maybe it’s because I had the day off yesterday.  Maybe it’s because I’m planning to go for a light jog (the first since my 1/2 marathon).  Or maybe it’s because it’s my birthday.  Yeah, I bet it’s that last one. 😉

This cake is from my birthday freshman year of college and it was HUGE! I shared with the whole 2nd floor of 270!

I love birthdays (who doesn’t?) and even though I find myself battling thoughts about getting another year older, it’s been refreshing to realize that I’m happy about where I am with my life; I’m happy with the things I’ve accomplished thus far; I’m happy being happy.  I have so many journeys and roads and experiences ahead of me, I’m only getting started!

At the same time, I should also say I’m happy because my birthday week is all about taking care of me – physically and mentally.  It’s also an opportunity to indulge a bit, including some foods that I don’t get to enjoy as often as I’d like.  Being a firm believer in all things in moderation, I’m happy to say I’ve been enjoying my week eating some of my favorite foods, some I eat all the time, some I eat only once and awhile.

One of my favorites I’ve been enjoying all week, as well as nearly every day of my life is a giant yogurt bowl featuring Chobani greek yogurt.  And because the beautiful people at Chobani want to join in the celebration, they’re giving one of you a present – a case of Chobani Bites!

Happy (Belated) Birthday! Love the birthday candles. Don’t they make everything a little more fun? 🙂

I should have gotten you some Birthday Cake Nutty Butter…but I’m glad the CCCD was able to function perfectly.

First of all, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. Secondly, I love that you put candles in all of your meals throughout the day! Too cute of an idea! 🙂

I love being together with friends and family and eating my favorite foods. Oh and trying something new, last year my husband and I jumped out of an airplane to celebrate turning 30!

I’m all for trying new things but pretty sure I couldn’t jump out of an airplane…go you!

It’s a tradition in my family too! We’ve been doing it ever since we were kids. Birthday person’s pick too! 😉

oh my gosh. i LOVED the candle in all your meals. so cute! happy birthday!!!! birthday’s are the best. the older i get though the more i don’t pay attention to them. haha. but i always make the boy take me out to dinner 😉

I’ve definitely found that as I get older, the birthday’s don’t really FEEL that different. Once you hit the age where you can drive, vote and legally drink, the birthdays seem to be just another year and less of a big deal. Not that that’s a bad thing.

My favorite way to celebrate a birthday
is to relax. Spa Day is great. Traveling is awesome.
I don’t like simple birthday dinners.
    I like different. Exciting. Unique.
One year I went ATV riding. Had a blast!
    Happy belated birthday 🙂

Spa Days are awesome! The past few years I have given myself a massage for my birthday. I didn’t do it this year (at least not yet). They’re such a great way to relax!

Omg, the roaming candle!! LOVE it!!! Happy birthday love!!!

I may sound like an old lady for this, but my favorite way to spend my birthday is just a nice dinner with my family. My mom usually has me come over and makes my favorites! 😀
