People often think I’m crazy when they find out it’s not uncommon for me to wake up around 4:15 or 4:30 each morning. While I understand that sounds ridiculously early, it’s become my routine so today I’m going to give you a sneak peak into that time.
4:15am – Alarm & Change.
Some days I hop out of bed, some days I hit snooze for another 15 minutes or so. I set out my workout clothes the night before which makes everything easier. I get dressed, pull my hair back, and brush my teeth.
4:30am – Blog Promotion & Writing.
I grab my laptop and do some quick blog promotion. I schedule promotion on my Facebook page, throw my links into a few Facebook groups and if time allows, catch up on a few blogs. If I’m feeling really inspired, this may even include taking some time to write or journal.
5:00/5:15am – Workout
I gain access to the apartment fitness center and head over for my workout. If I plan to go to hot yoga then this usually means just walking or some light lifting until about 5:30. If not, I usually do a few circuits, cardio, or other lifting.
6:45am – Refuel & Get Ready.
The time varies based on my planned workout or if I went to yoga, but you get the deal. I start by making my ACV cocktail and hop in the shower. Once I’m clean, I throw together my recovery smoothie and take my morning supplements, like this Every Woman’s One Daily Multivitamin from New Chapter that I get from Amazon.
The Every Woman’s One Daily Multivitamin is expertly formulated for active women, like myself, and packed with nutrients and superfood blends for energy, stress, immune and bone support, like ginger and turmeric.* It’s fermented with probiotics and whole foods, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and made with organic ingredients.
I know I work my body hard with some great strength training and cardio workouts, so it’s nice to know that I’m able to help my body recover and repair those sore muscles with a non-GMO, whole-food, herbal supplement like New Chapter.*
8:00am – Leave for work
Once I’ve finished my breakfast, my hair and makeup are done, and my lunch is packed, it’s time to go! I fill up my to-go mug with black coffee and head out the door. It’s time for a great day!

I’m currently trying to start my own morning routine. However, my problem is that I start work at 5am. I’m calculating that I’m probably going to have to hit the gym around 2:30am!!!! That’s crazy…but I’m realizing that’s the own time I can go. It’s nice to know that other people are up at insane hours of the morning too. Hopefully, I can get my routine in working order and rock it out!
Looks like a great way to start the day! Get it girl!

Thanks, girl!
Sounds like a great morning routine! I just can’t bring myself to get up before 6 am so I work out after work haha. I am a lazy bones.
xoxo, Jenny
Girl, that does NOT make you lazy! I become lazy AFTER work so my workouts would never (or hardly ever) happen if I tried to do this any other way!
WHAT?!?!? You get up at 4:15?!?!?!? You’re my hero! There’s no way I could do that!

Good for you girl, getting it in no matter what, no matter when. I think it also sets a good tone for the rest of the day, too, right?
We do what we can with the hours that we’re given and personally I think anything is achievable if you put your mind to it. Grateful to have such a positive voice in my life/blogosphere.
Have a great afternoon, Katie. 🙂

I would love to be able to do something like this. Just wondering if you go to bed super early? The problem I’m having is going to bed early enough to get up early enough! Thanks for sharing your morning routine with us.
Love this blog! I am with you as I have to get up early too! I really enjoyed the read.
You get a lot done before I ever get out of bed! I don’t go to bed until 1 or 2. I ease into the morning with an hour hike at the dog park then watch the Price is Right while I catch up on some blog reading. At 11 I get going on my work for the day.
I still have no idea what my morning routine is going to look like when I go back to work after maternity leave! But I bet it’ll include a before 5 AM alarm as well so I can workout. Yikes!
Girl, you’ll figure it out when the time comes. Just do what works for YOU!
Kudos to you for waking up so early. I tend to roll out of bed around 8, do my skin care routine, eat breakfast, drink coffee and then blog writing or promotion before working from home.
When do bloggers blog if not in the wee hours:)
THANK YOU! YOUUUUU get up super early to do BLOG STUFF too!!!!! My fiance doesn’t get it!!! He has NO IDEA why the hell I always get up so dang early to post my blog and promote! Well……. I just don’t think a NON BLOGGER will ever ever ever understand!

It just fits best in my day to do it in the little time between waking and getting access to the fitness center. Then I’m not scrambling to do it after my workout while getting ready for work!
Very productive morning!! Looks like a nice little gym at your apartment complex-thats awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I always try to take a few minutes alone with my coffee before the day starts.
