I just love this quote from Marilyn Monroe and while I don’t usually do any of those silly Facebook things like “see which celebrity is your look alike” for some reason I did decide to do that one and as it turned out, I got Marilyn Monroe…no complaints here! 😉
But as I find myself staring down different aspects of my future, figuring out what I want, what I don’t and how to best make myself happy, that quote keeps popping into my head…speaking stronger and stronger.
I keep joking with my friends about this “love bubble” – watching their relationships reach new heights and just feeling so happy for them. Despite being perpetually single, witnessing this level of happiness in my friends gives me the hope that I will have my turn someday. My turn to find someone who can handle me at my best, worst and everything in between.
“I am selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”
…but I am also a dreamer, entrepreneur and someone who just wants to help other people. I seek out ways to motivate others to live and be their best, while constantly striving for that myself. I care deeply for others and often put them before myself, sometimes to a fault but I can’t help it, it’s just in my nature. I look to the future with optimism and I know I haven’t always been this way, looking back on my path to get here with thankfulness. I see hope in the future and embrace the journey ahead.
