While I often create many goals for myself each month, for June I decided to take a different approach and only have a few. I was hoping I would get to be more mindful and would be setting myself up for success. But I have to be honest, it wasn’t a great month as far as that was concerned so this month I want to go back to having several goals I can be working on all month.
Before we get to that, let’s look at my goals from June:
1.Complete Instagram course and grow my Instagram presence – There was an increase but it was rather minimal (only 1.5%) and not what I was really hoping for. An increase is an increase but there’s still work to do. With that said, I also didn’t start my course, so there’s a lot of work to do and a lot to learn still.
2.Handwritten Letter – check!
3.Budget (mindfully, honestly and realistically) – This wasn’t a great month for my budget but that tends to happen when you travel and I don’t think I quite prepared myself for that (even though I know better). With that said, I had a few freelance payments come through which helped offset a few things, but there’s still a lot of work to do. I’m getting back into brewing my own kombucha again so I can reduce that expense as it really does add up.
I’m not getting too down on myself for June’s goals as I don’t think that will get me anywhere, but I am going back to creating more goals for July so I can have a variety of easily attainable ones and more challenging ones, to keep my motivation up and feel good as I check things off my list.
Let’s take a look at those goals, shall we?
- Write a handwritten letter
- Start Instagram course
- Start Google Analytics course
- Have a fun girls day
- Try a new recipe
- Pitch at least one brand for blog idea
- Finish two books
- Get ahead on blogging
- Apply for at least 1 freelancing job (to get more of a side income)
You’ll notice I mentioned nothing about my budget for this month’s goals and while I will still be paying attention to it, I’m hoping to remove some pressure around it to get it back on track.

Do you have any goals for the month of July?
Any advice for me in my quest to complete mine?
And seriously, HOW IS IT ALREADY JULY? Is this year flying by for anyone else?

Those are great goals to focus on, and I can’t wait to see how you do. Good luck girl! 🙂

I’m totally adding “sending snail mail” to my list. I’m trying to do it 3xs per month – that sounds like a lot, but there are lots of birthdays! I would also like to finish 2 books!

I love that you have such a variety for your July goals. I haven’t had a chance to think mine through yet, but there are a few of yours that I should probably snag (ie: grow my instagram and pitch a brand). Definitely need to set a few more to see more change happen.

Getting ahead on your blog – that’s one of my goals, too. It’s hard to keep up with sometimes, so I want to take the summer to really beef up my content. 🙂 Best wishes on your goals and happy July!

Great list! We have 2 goals in common: Instagram presence and freelancing 😀 I’m also looking to pick up that extra cash.
Where’s the instagram course from?! I’d be super intrigued by that!
