How was everyone’s weekend? I spent mine back home in IL celebrating a little “nephew’s” 2nd birthday and being buried beneath a sea of Barbies, other dolls and stuffed animals from childhood to help my mom prepare for an upcoming garage sale. I couldn’t believe how much stuff was there, but (I think) I helped make a small dent in the pile.

I drove back fairly early Sunday morning so I could get unpacked, do my grocery shopping, errands, food prep and make it to an evening yoga class before the weekend came to a close. I can’t believe just how fast the weekend goes by!

Moving on to this week’s Music Monday pick, I’m going with “Life crisis” by River Whyless. As soon as you take one listen, I’m sure you will understand exactly why this was my pick of the week!

You know what I realized the other day? I promised to make a road trip playlist and then totally failed at following through (oops!! sorry!!) so it’s slotted on the calendar for next week, so be sure to leave your favorite road trip song in the comments so I can add it to the list!

How was your weekend?

What is your favorite road trip song?

Not going to lie, there’s a good chance musicals tend to happen on long road trips. Get me in a car for awhile and suddenly I think I’m a broadway star. I swear I look nuts to those driving around me. That’s why I like to save these for interstates where people don’t see me belting it out, haha.

I’ve never heard of this song, but my current favorite song for road trips is anything and everything (Close by Nick Jonas, Cheap Thrills by SIA, etc.)
