I know that I eat pretty clean most of the time. In fact, I eat mostly paleo aside from the occasional treats or weekends away with my blends. But when my box decided to participate in the Lurong Living Paleo Challenge I jumped at the chance to join. I’ve been cheating a bit more lately and definitely feeling (and seeing) the affects of doing so, so I figured, what better time to join in with this community and work at bettering myself and cleaning things up.
What is the Lurong Living Paleo Challenge?
It’s a 8-week diet, lifestyle and fitness competition. Over the course of the next 8 weeks participants will set goals for themselves and work towards achieving them while maintaining a clean diet and competing in bench-mark WODs.
I’m excited to take this opportunity and really focus on myself, especially when I’m in the middle of planning such a huge undertaking; I think this will help keep my sanity, stress and diet in check through it all.
But even all that aside, I know I feel my best when I’m eating clean, healthy foods to fuel my body.
We started on Monday and things are already going pretty well. I’m being reminded to pay attention to my hunger cues, drink plenty of water, limit my sugar intake and eat the foods that make me feel the best.
At the same time, I’m also being reminded that it’s easy for my nut butter addiction to get out of control, so I’m doing my best to keep that in check through this all too.
Have you ever participated in a health challenge?

I haven’t ever participated in a healthy eating challenge, but is sounds super exciting! I tend to get carried away with the Paleo baked goods a little too often. 😉
ha! It’s easy to do that. One of my favorite coffee shop/bars in my area has a TON of gluten-free and paleo treats and it’s hard to tell myself no sometimes. 😉
