What Is Making You Happy This Week?

happy

The truth is that this week has been a bit rough for me. Many highs and a few lows that just have me feeling off. It’s funny because despite those things, overall I’ve stayed in a pretty good mood so I’m not really complaining. Regardless, I want to make today uplifting and happy, so let’s take a look at a few things making me happy right now, shall we?

1. My garden

This thing is doing really well! I’m able to start picking and eating homegrown lettuce and there are tiny green cherry tomatoes giving me hope that I will be eating fresh tomatoes before long! My herbs are also doing well and I made some delicious pesto at the start of the week.

2. Paleo pizza

This was made from a Simple Mills pizza mix and was really good! The dough was pretty sticky and they have you make 2 small pizzas, which actually worked perfect for me to better split for multiple dinners. I ate a whole mini pizza the first night I made them and split the second into 2 dinners with a side salad. Since I can’t do cheese, I topped with my homemade pesto, sautéed veggies and once it came out of the oven, I topped with arugula and balsamic glaze. OMG, there was no part of me that was left wishing for the cheese.

3. My workouts

I’m still loving the Tone It Up workouts mixed with running and yoga. I’m left feeling strong and empowered and ready for the day ahead of me. I’m excited for the second round of this year’s Summer Series as it gives me goals and a timeline and more so, a community. Want to join? Sign up here. I’m not an affiliate or anything, I just love a strong, supportive community (obviously one of the big reasons I loved CrossFit).

4. All the smoothies

Now that I’ve been home from traveling and back into my normal schedule and routine, it’s amazing to have my morning smoothies again every day. They’re just so refreshing and packed full of nutrients, I can’t help but look forward to it each morning.

So let’s keep the good feelings rolling on through! What are is making you happy today?

pesto can totally filled the void of cheese, although I do love me some cheese. I’ve also felt that not so high, maybe a little too low feeling. I wanted to blame the weather and work stress, but things are looking up on both accounts, so i just keep monitoring it while trying to eat right and exercise. this fall I think I’ll sign up for some counseling sessions through the school i’m getting my mba from, sadly their office isn’t open in the summer.

Oh my goodness, between the pizza and the smoothies, you have me drooling over here! 🙂 I’m happy that tomorrow is Friday and that the weekend is almost here. And that I got most of the laundry done, haha. 🙂

I’ve been walking regularly and that’s making me feel healthier and happier. I’m loving this great weather. Our pug has been a bit cuddlier this week. And I’m going to a day-long meet up with a whole bunch of other writers this Saturday. It’s going to be a ton of fun!

The pizza you show looks so good. I am following a clean eating program with healthy grains, so traditional pizza has been off my radar the last few months. I am so going to try the Simply Mills with pesto, garden tomatoes, and some feta cheese. I love that it is gluten-free and you use apple cider vinegar in it. Now this is definitely making me happy this week!

Yum! That smoothie looks great! So awesome about your garden! We’re starting to get some herbs growing, so I’m excited to make some sauces too. Your pizza sounds delicious.
