I’m going to be honest with you today.
1 – I’m writing this and it’s not Monday. I’m busy with my head in the books and sometimes I have to push these out when it works out even if it’s Wednesday night.
2 – I grew up on country and you probably won’t hear me bash it, unless I think it sucks, then I hope I don’t offend you but I’ll tell it to you straight. That’s my inner manager coming out.
3 – A few people have told me my chipped tooth is no biggie and will be easy to fix. Well, I’m happy to hear that but if you don’t realize how real my fear for the dentist is, let me tell you that my manager joked (probably only half) that she should make the appointment for me, write it on the work schedule, make sure not to schedule me, probably go with me or at least call me a cab to get there/back. Yep sounds about right.
4 – I like this song. And I like this cheesy lyric video to go with it. And while I know the real video is being released soon (in fact, probably released by now), I’m sharing the lyric one anyway. I like it, deal with it. 😉
5 – No matter who you voted for in this past election; no matter how you feel about the outcome; no matter how many fights you’ve had or avoided from friends with different political views, I think this song is a good reminder of the American “heart” and spirit.
Today, I’m thankful to be an American. (Did anyone else just starting singing “i’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free?…” Just me? Okay…)
Our political system is not perfect (clearly) and we all have different opinions on “the issues” but that’s part of what makes us one big melting pot.
Happy Monday.
What are you thankful for?
Are you a country music fan?

I LOVE country music. If you don’t go get that tooth fixed, I’m going to come up there myself and take you! 😉 Don’t make me do it…
I love country music! 🙂
