Music Monday – Guilty Pleasures

Today we’re talking guilty pleasure – Music Monday guilty pleasures, that is! Not that I think music should bring guilt, but maybe it’s more music you wouldn’t expect from me, but I’m enjoying so I’m sharing with you all today. I hope you enjoy them as well and find yourself free of any guilt.

Would anyone ever expect me to say I’m liking a song by Christina Aguilera? Probably not if you’ve ever known me past the age of 13. But let’s be serious, this song evokes so much emotion that I’m pretty sure you can’t help but feel something. It’s like the heart break song of the century. But it’s seriously fantastic. And if you watch the video while listening, you may find yourself tearing up. You’ve been warned. (Ask me if I still feel this way once the radio kills this beautiful song.)

Okay, let’s be honest, Goo Goo Dolls will never be a guilty pleasure for me. Goo Goo Dolls will always have a place in my heart. They remind me of my youth and just fill my heart with happy thoughts. That’s just how it goes.

Can I just mention that someday I need those t-shirts that say “together since…” the older couple is wearing in the video. Note to self.

What are a few of your guilty pleasure songs lately?

Linking up to Katie’s MIMM because music is simply marvelous!

Ya I really haven’t liked Christina in awhile. She’s such a diva! Always loved the The Fray and Goo Goo Dolls. Name is one of my favorite songs. I’m watching my nephew today and he liked the Fray song cause he was dancing! 🙂

Love that you’re sharing these. My current guilty pleasure is the Spice album by The Spice Girls. My friend shared it with me because I wanted to use “wannabe” for my Sorry I’m Not Sorry track (next show — not this week).
