I’m happy to say my return to work after last week’s Staycation went well! I definitely went back feeling refreshed and happy to be back. Since I needed to split one of my days this week to cover two days, it was only a half day which I’m sure helped but it made the “catch-up” that much more important. My to-do list for tomorrow is already building in my head and I can tell it’s going to be a busy one (in a good way!)
After getting off work, I went home to get some things done and headed to the gym in the afternoon. Sometimes I love short days at work (and working an “extra” day) because I start my morning and the productivity just continues through the rest of the day.
Okay, if you haven’t yet heard, I have some great news:
There’s a new Norah Jones album coming out soon!
It’s called Little Broken Hearts and even though the name is sad, I’m super stoked! I love Norah Jones and just find her smooth tone to be relaxing. I’m looking forward to hearing the whole album, which is set to be released on May 1st, 2012.
(A fun side note, her last album, The Fall, was produced by Jacquire King who I used to work with when I was still at GPS. This meant that I helped create and manage the recording budget and I got to hear the album before it came out! SO fun!)
Anyway, the first single off Little Broken Hearts is “Happy Pills” and makes me think of these little yellow sugar candies Tracey bought me in high-school. (I don’t really remember eating them, but we thought they were funny!)
This song leads me to believe the album is going to be a good one! Enjoy!

whoaaa… throw back! you know… what if those pills really ARE the secret to happiness and you still haven’t eaten them all this time?!!?
I LOVE Norah Jones’ voice, it’s so smooth and light and lovely! 🙂
