Often I find myself listening to the radio and going “Why? Whyyyy? Who thought this was good? And who thought it was good enough to keep playing?” Other times I find myself going “I love this song. Dear radio, please don’t ruin it like you ruin all of the other songs I actually enjoy that you play.” And on occasion I hear that song on the radio that gets me excited, gets me singing along and gets me actually wanting to figure out what it’s called and who sings it. Often this is when Spotify comes in handy. Sometimes I know the song already but I’ll take a screen shot of Spotify’s answer as a reminder to find it later (or share it later).
This would be one of those times.
The video is a little weird and crazy but the song is awesome and I especially love this lyric “ we got no money, but we got heart.” It’s such a reflection of youth. Granted I know the possibility of their being more to this song’s lyric but I like to be naive and just call it fun and light hearted. And regardless, it’s catchy.
So if you don’t know Walk The Moon, you should. If you don’t know the song “Anna Sun,” you should. And if you haven’t listened to any other music by Walk The Moon, you should.
You won’t regret it. And if you do, I’m sorry you feel I led you astray. But let’s be honest, that won’t happen. Because when have I ever led you astray? So just to be proactive – you’re welcome. 🙂
