It’s been a couple weeks since I poked around this place. Life has been busy (nothing new there) but there was a trip to my hometown in Illinois and onward to Chicago for a long weekend of festivities with friends and family, there’s been lots of yoga teaching, part-time job and full-time job working, and trying to find the balance between social life and alone time. It’s a balance but one of my goals for this month (which you will soon hear more about), includes showing up in this space a bit more and seeing if I can make the most of this space.
Anyway, one of my favorite things to do at the start of a new month is to reflect on a few goals. I like to give myself a few things (or several things) to work towards. As I sat down to work on my goals for October, I didn’t want it to just be the same old things, I tried to be really intentional about what I want, where I want to be, and what steps I need to take to get there. I’m keeping a few of my goals for the month to myself but here are most of them:
October 2018 Goals
- Read 3 books
- Pass NASM CPT exam
- Commit to my nutrition and eating better again
- Stick to my month budget
- Blog 1-2 times per week
- Begin to outline my book
- Grow my Instagram by 5% (Shameless plug: do you follow me? ha!)
- Begin recording yoga videos
I know these won’t necessarily be easy especially among life’s busy schedules but I really want to be smart with my time and I’m trying to remind myself every single day that my dreams will only happen if I’m willing to make the sacrifices to do the work to make them happen. It’s as simple as that. So it’s time to actually start. You heard it here first, folks! 😉

Great goals for October! I’m ignoring social media for the most part right now, but I should up my Instagram game 🙂
You can do it! I love the month of October but it’s definitely the start of all things sweet and yummy, and I really need to be better. It seems like I’ll lose some and then gain it back – or gain some of it back – and I really just want to get to a certain point, so we’ll see. Hopefully this can be the month. I’m in two dance classes and I’m drinking more water, so now it’s getting back on track with the food I think. lol

A major goal for me is to workout. I need to get on track with my weight and I just feel really motivated this month.

These are some great goals, Insta growth is always a good one in my opinion, I feel like Instagram is where everything is happening lately. I also hear you on sticking to the monthly budget. I need to make that a goal also. Here’s to a great month!
