Usually the only time I listen to the radio is when I’m driving in my car and even then, I don’t always. Sometimes I enjoy the silence and other times, I’ll pull up a podcast or audio book and listen to that.
But one day last week I was driving to work and since I didn’t have a new audio book on my phone at the time, I had the radio playing. It was on a morning show for a country station in Nashville that plays up in Grand Rapids, and they were interviewing Kelsea Ballerini.
While I knew her name and a song or two, I wouldn’t have necessarily called myself a fan. That is, until they had her play her new song, “Peter Pan,” live in the studio. I was sold right away.
The lyrics speak to my current situation in many ways and I’ve been listening to it over and over and over since. My coworkers should consider themselves lucky that I haven’t just broken into song at my desk. Maybe I should warn them that the day is coming, whether it’s with “Peter Pan” by Kelsea Ballerini or something else entirely. It’s going to happen.
What songs do you have on repeat this week?

Love love love Kelsea Ballerini! I saw her live last fall and she puts on a great show. This week I’ve got Meghan Trainor’s album on repeat.

I have this album. Was listening this last week only!
Beautiful!<3
Ingrid Michaelson "The Chain" for me!:)
If you do break into song, maybe you’ll help someone else find the song and they need it too!
I bought her whole album this fall! I’m a sucker for anything peter pan related, so it was an easy sell, but her lyrics in general really spoke to me.
