Happy Friday, friends!
I’m feeling particularly excited today, and it’s not because I’ll be spending my morning sitting at/working from the VW dealership while my car gets it’s 40,000 mile check-up. Oh Betty, she’s growing up so fast! 😉 But really, I am excited for today. I’ve got a show to go to tonight, an awesome campaign launching and a fun giveaway for you all today!
But first, let’s get to my workouts this past week. Since I’ve been feeling better, I was able to get back into the gym and it’s been amazing! I even had a few days where I woke up at the butt-crack of dawn to get in my workout before my morning meetings. It reminded me of the days when I would wake up at 4:45 to get to the gym before being at work at 8am. I didn’t wake up quite that early, but it was fun!

You may remember but I participated in the Pretty Muddy 5k last year which was so much fun! What a great excuse to get a little down and dirty in the mud while doing one of my favorite things – run! Well the fun people over at Pretty Muddy invited me to join them again for this year’s race and I’m hoping you will join me! They’ve offered to give a race entry to one reader for their local Pretty Muddy race. (Bonus! If you run the Chicago one we can do it together!)
(Disclaimer: I would make sure there’s a Pretty Muddy race in your area unless you’re willing to travel for it! I’m sure they’ll be adding more events but just FYI. I’ll pick and announce a winner next Friday.)
This is definitely the kind of race you want to do with your girlfriends and in order to encourage teams, this year Pretty Muddy is offering a 10% discount for teams of 3 or more (discount is automatically applied when registering). So this year, I hope to pull together a team of awesome girls to run the race and get a little muddy. I hope you’ll join me!
(Note: I have not yet created my team so if you’re interested in joining me, send me an email at kt.talkless.saymore(at)gmail(dot)com and we’ll come up with a team name, get ourselves registered and get some other fun ladies on board!)
Are you up to get Pretty Muddy this year?
Any big plans for your weekend?

I want to run with you!! I’ve always told myself I wouldn’t do a mud run…because I don’t necessarily like to get dirty…but I’ve done color runs and I’m sure they are both equal in amount of clean up required haha. 🙂
I like Team “Mud Buds” or Muddy Buddies and we can make Muddy Buddies to eat after. 😉
I’m not one who usually enjoys getting dirty but I loved just embracing it and having fun! 🙂
Team Mud Buds .. because you can’t have a team name that doesn’t rhyme! I’ve always wanted to do a Mud Run – this one would be a blast!
You’ve got Amanda on board with that team name…and besides, who doesn’t love Muddy Buddies? 😉
