Sunday Confessional

Did you miss me yesterday?  Have no fear, I’m back!

Anyway, I have a few random thoughts for you today that I’m calling my Sunday Confessional.  Some of these make sense, some are just plain…well…you’ll see. 😉

-If a post looks too long, doesn’t have any or very few photos or I get bored midway through, I skip it.  Sorry ’bout it.

photo-193-I hate buying socks. So I put it off, don’t buy em, & wear holes in my socks until someone buys me new socks…Want to buy me new socks? 😉

-I enjoyed taking yesterday completely off blogging.  It was a great way to recharge.

-Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the “numbers” of blogging and the idea of taking a complete day away sounds like a set back.  Guess what?! It’s not! And it’s perfectly okay, even encouraged to take time away when you need it.

-On Friday I made my way into Chicago.  I technically had a job interview in the morning (don’t get excited, I don’t think it’s a good fit for me) and then plans to meet Lauren for lunch.  I spent the whole interview finding my eyes wandering the office wanting to clean it up.  No joke.  It was awful. (Self diagnosed clean freak!)

-I totally failed to get a picture of the Lauren and I at lunch at Julis Meinl.  Next time.  But regardless, it was SO fun to meet and just chat with Lauren.  For lunch, I had a great cup of tea and quinoa salad.

-Sometimes the best way to be productive is a change of scenery.  I had a couple hours to kill Friday before lunch, so I camped out at Starbucks and got things done.  It was super productive and I debated going back after lunch to keep going (I didn’t…Confession within a confession: I wanted to miss rush-hour traffic).

-I’m LOVING the snow and LOVING taking pictures of it.  I swear it’s like a Winter Wonderland and I wish I could really get a good photo to capture the beauty of driving down the street with trees just covered in snow.

542730_855503716739_1550396473_n-I fully intend to rush home from my work meeting this evening and plop my butt down in front of the TV to watch The Grammys.

Do you have any confessions today?

Are you planning to watch The Grammys? Who are you cheering for?

Bummer. Though I’m not usually one for awards shows but I clearly had a vested interest in this years…

Whenever I talk to my mom about how i’m feeling overwhelmed with school work and having a hard time focusing she tells me to head to panera or starbucks. It’s true, sometimes getting out and into a new setting can really bump up productivity and focus. Confession: I didn’t know the Grammys were even on tonight.

Confession: the only way I survived AP BC Calculus my senior year of HS was study groups at Panera.

I haven’t been to Julius Meinl in YEARS . . . but used to go all the time. My best friend and I would meet there on Sunday mornings and catch up over a cup of gingerbread coffee and oatmeal. I miss that!

I never buy socks either! When I need more, I put them on my wishlist at Christmas time so my Mom can take care of it for me. 🙂

Well after reading this post, my mom asked to take me shopping for socks. Score! (It helped that the socks I was wearing at the time had GIANT holes in them to further prove my point).
