Sunday Spotlight / Rockstar Sterling

Did anyone watch Stand Up to Cancer Friday night?

I spent my Friday night in tears as I watched all of the Stand Up To Cancer stories and performances.  It’s absolutely touching and just makes your heart ache.  Because as they stated numerous times, we all know someone affected by cancer.

Which leads me into a Sunday Spotlight, one that absolutely breaks my heart.  Because as terrible as cancer is, as much as you don’t want anyone to get it, it’s always even more difficult to see a child suffer and have to push through this.  A child shouldn’t have to worry about anything more than playing with their toys and growing up.

And then I heard about one of my old co-workers and his 2 1/2 year old daughter, Sterling who was diagnosed with ETANTR.  She’s 2 1/2! That’s just not okay.  I mean look at this little girl.

She’s absolutely adorable and she’s putting up the greatest fight she can.  And the fact that she even has to absolutely breaks my heart.  The fact that Paul and his wife and the rest of their family even have to absolutely breaks my heart.

I wanted to share their story.  I wanted to get it out there.  I wanted them to know people are thinking of them and wishing the best for them.  And I wanted them to know that I truly think Sterling is a Rockstar!

If you want to help you can go to their MyLifeLine page or if you want to follow their journey, check out the Team RockStar blog and Facebook Page.

Girl, I am right there with you on that but it’s in those moments that we have to remember that we’re all on our own journey with our struggles and our own things to be thankful for.
