Despite the title of this post, I assure you it is not sweater weather in Chi-town right now. We’ve had a nice little wave of heat make it’s way through reminding us that it’s still summer and we better soak up all the extra sunshine and warmth that we can, while we can.
So I did. While making the hour + drive to pick up my race packet Saturday afternoon I kept the sun roof open, windows down and just soaked up the sun, warmth and gorgeous breeze as it blew through my hair. It’s the little things in life that mean the most and this was definitely one of those moments.
But clearly there’s a reason I named this post Sweater Weather so we should probably get to that, don’t ya think?
I love having the Shazam app on my phone so when I hear a new song I like, I can find out what it is and make sure to go back later and listen to it again. What makes this even cooler is that I’ve been able to listen to other tracks by The Neighbourhood and I’m digging it. It’s kind of a gritty pop/rock; y’know one of those bands that you’d hear opening for a larger band at a concert, have no idea who they are but know that after the show you’ll be finding more music by them? Yeah, they’re one of those bands. And so far worth ever moment I’ve listened.
Don’t mind me, I’m just the girl sitting at Starbucks, iced coffee in hand, headphones in ears and totally bobbing my head to the music rocking out. Personally, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What are you listening to this week?

It’s steamy here too and wish it was cool enough for sweater weather.
It’s going to be over 100 degrees here this week! uck! lol
I love when you educate me on new to me music.
It is most definitely NOT sweater weather here! I took a lot of my workouts indoors this past week and I’m pretty sure today will be just a brief walk in the 90 degree weather. I’ve been totally spoiled by the cool weather as of late! Gotta soak up the sun though, you are right! 🙂
My IPOD broke last week and I was extremely upset. I don’t have an Iphone, I have a free phone android and I knew I had to have music for my long run yesterday. So I found Google play. So far I’m loving it. I don’t like the $10 a month because I’m cheap but all the music at my fingertips is pretty amazing! Linkin Park station got me through 13 miles yesterday. 🙂
Because right now it is sweatier weather.
