Sweet Tooth Gone Wild

6 Comments on Sweet Tooth Gone Wild

I’ve got a sweet tooth – there’s no doubt about it!  And most of the time I can keep it under control, but then other times I can’t and I have to to make some adjustments to bring it back in check.

Here’s what I do:

-Stay hydrated

-Add lemon slices to my water

-Eat more fruit (natural sweeteners over added sugar)

-Phase out the sweet stuff (it’s okay to have on occasion but not everyday)

-Brush your teeth (more often – even if it’s hours before bed)

Some would probably tell me to do a cleanse, but I’m not one for a “cleanse.”  I’d rather take small, achievable steps that I can do any and every day to achieve a healthy lifestyle and combat my sweet tooth.

But regardless, sometimes my sweet tooth is welcome.  Because honestly, who doesn’t love a good trip to Yogurtland with friends?

Or baking some yummy cookies or muffins? (I promise the recipe is coming soon!)

Really, it’s about all things in moderation.

What are the ways you combat your sweet tooth?

Or any of your cravings gone crazy?

I know it’s not good- but I will chew some Extra gum if I really need to curb my sweet cravings sometimes. It’s my only vice.. and definitely no sub for actually having a dessert! Your tips are great though.
I have found that the best way to deal with wanting something sweet is to give in sometimes. If I deprive myself of ever having the “real thing” I go nuts. I’d much rather have a scoop of full-fat ice cream than a bucket of some fake version of it!

Sometimes I just gotta give into my sweet tooth! Okay I give in everyday haha. But brushing your teeth is a good idea. I also try to drink hot tea or even just hot chocolate and usually that does the trick. Or sometimes I just have a sweet cold beverage and that will fill me up, give me some sweetness and hopefully curb the craving. If I am still craving whatever it as after that, I will just have it!! haha
