Thankful Thursday #3

Congratulations, you’ve almost made it to the weekend! I swear at times it feels like I’m still recovering and I’m gearing up for another busy weekend. Though the weekend’s may be fun, they’re still exhausting and as I sit here, writing and yawning, yawning and writing, I could really go for a nap! But it’s Thankful Thursday and I have so many reasons to be thankful this week so let’s get to it!

Making new business connections.

I love my job but it’s not always easy especially taking over a new territory on my own. It’s an industry that’s all about relationships so the more connections I can make, the better off.

Live Music!

Oh my goodness! For serious! I had an amazing weekend of live music. It all started Friday night with a super funky band. Seriously these guys rocked it!

Stepping outside my comfort zone.

Continued from making new connections, my job requires me to step outside my comfort zone on a regular basis. It’s hard but it’s also what makes me a stronger person and makes me work at my best.

Sunday 11/17

My safety.

I love thunderstorms but Sunday’s storms in IL hit the point that always makes me nervous – tornadoes. We were under tornado watches and warnings all day, the wind was crazy sounding like it was going to blow the house down and at times it did get quite scary. But at the end of the day, I was in an area that was safe and tornado free and for that I am ever thankful.

My heart goes out to all affected by the tornadoes in IL on Sunday.

Coffee

A cup of hot coffee in the morning just can’t be beat. It’s comforting and keeps me awake and productive throughout the day.

Tuesday 11/19

These aren't the exact dishes but they look pretty similar

Free dishes!

I’m not kidding! I got almost $85 worth of Rachael Ray dishes for free on Tuesday! A local grocery store is giving out stamps with every purchase and my parents and grandparents have been saving up stamps for me. I had enough for 14 dishes and since the promotion is ending soon, I went to cash it what we had so far. 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 bowls and 2 coffee mugs later, I’m a happy girl!

Wednesday 11/20

A good run.

I planned for about 2 1/2 miles but when my legs and lungs were still feeling great, I finished off at 3 miles. It was a great run and since I was planning on a leg strength session after, I didn’t push for more. But a great run is a great run and something to be very thankful for.

In case you missed it, here’s past weeks:

WHAT?! Oh man…it’s all good though. I actually don’t really shop there but my parents started collecting them since they shop for themselves and my grandparents and offered them up to me. Not going to turn down free stuff especially since I don’t have any dishes (my roommate does but I want to be prepared for my post-roommate days). 😉
