I had one post in mind for today but as I sat down to start writing it, it just wasn’t feeling right. The words weren’t coming out as eloquently as I’d like them to and I was struggling to focus. Quite honestly, I think it’s because it’s hard for me to write about anything other than what happened 13 years ago on this day, September 11th, 2001.
We could all talk about where we were when we found out. We could talk about who we knew that was affected. We could talk about the many who risked and gave their lives. We could talk about our political positions and opinions.
OR…we could talk about uniting as a community, as a nation.
I’ve mentioned many times before my love for the CrossFit community. Heck, that’s a huge reason I left my job to pursue the CrossFit for Hope charity fundraising tour. But all that aside, the CrossFit community always finds a way to team up, to give back and to work hard to remember those who have fought or are fighting.
Today, I’m joining my box as we complete the 9/11 Tribute WOD. It will be long, it will be tough but we will persevere and lift each other up as we remember all who lost their lives and were affected.

Whether you’re dedicating your workout, writing, or taking a moment of silence, we promised 13 years ago that we wouldn’t forget, we haven’t forgotten and we won’t forget.

Very legit. Is this a wod programmed by HQ or is this one put together by the boxes participating?
I think it’s a HQ programmed WOD (maybe from years past?) but my box and some surrounding are all doing it today. I’ve seen several others on social media post the WOD from boxes in different parts of the country.
weII written!
Thanks, Rick!

<3 <3 me too! I heard a few of our guys did the WOD in their firefighter gear this morning. How awesome!
